Our Studiossss

Upon our arrival in Daejeon we had only one studio with a twinsy bed on the floor. Our coworkers were kind enough to loan us some essentials while we waited for the past teacher to move out, which took foreeeevvver.

They have an inheritance system established. All teachers get about $200 dollars when they arrive to buy strictly home-goods that can be passed on to the following colleagues. We got the shaft with one apartment because it was occupied by someone who did not work for the school--bummer. However, we did get some sweet goods from the past teacher. We regret not taking before and after pictures of our rooms to show the transition; you'll have to imagine it ; )

Unfortunately, the last teacher had naughty kitties that peed on her couch and tore it up. So, we are currently still floor bound. We are going to embrace it for dining, but we might try to find a cheap futon for our living room studio.

We also scavenged a dump to find some free goods. I know, I thought it was trashy too, but you would not believe the treasures we found and bleached the sh*t out of. We recovered old Korean statues, ceramic vases (that may have been decorative liquor bottles), stainless steel knives, and more. Hey gypsy...come see my treasures....

In other big news...thanks to our added room we now have a cable upgrade. In the first room we only received one English channel called OCN. It was all action, all day or CSI. Pretty exciting!
