BAGS- out....STICK FRISBEE - in!

Thanks to friends from Colorado, we learned a new BBQ game that rivals that of bags and horseshoes. I don't recall the true name, so let's call it STICK FRISBEE!

Brace yourself. First, locate two sticks approximately hockey stick height. Find a grassy knoll and shove them in the ground a reasonable throwing distance apart. Now, balance a beer bottle on the opposing sticks. Your team mate and you must stand beside one stick with the opponents by the opposite stick. Teams and teammates alternate throwing the frisbee. The goal is to hit the stick and knock off the bottle. If the bottle should fall, the opponents must scramble to catch the bottle and the frisbee simultaneously. This leads to comical lunges, athletic pouncing, and occasional bruises. Be warned.

SCORING: Points go to the throwing team.

Dropped Frisbee Only - 1 point
Dropped Bottle only - 3 points
Droppped Bottle & Frisbee - 4 points
Caught Bottle & Frisbee - 0 points (great success!)

Play to 21. Bystanders: enjoy the frantic entertainment.

Note: We broke two bottles and subsequently used cans.

  1. Great addition to the invasion blog. YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON. Bags are out, Stick Flimsee is in.
Throwing the Frisbee at sticks and bouncin cups is super entertaining. Be sure to try playing with the first official game set for this game you know no name for. It's called Flimsee and the official equipment has ball tops so that no one loses an eye. Check us out, we are selling them at www.flimsee.com.
